Ang mundo ay tirahan ng lahat ng uri ng nilalang - hayop, halaman o tao. Ang mga ito’y naghahati-hati sa mga likas na kayamanan ng kalikasan na bumubuo sa iisang daigdig. Subalit nakalulungkot isipin na may iilang tao na hindi marunong magpahalaga sa kalikasan at sa buhay.

Sa pagmulat ng aking mga mata kaninang umaga, bumungad sa akin ang isang pusang sugatan. Malalim na sugat na hindi maikakailang gawa ng isang nilalang na may mas mataas na antas ng kaalaman kaysa kay muning. Kung paanong ang nilalang na ito ay nagawang makapagsalita, makapag-aral at makapag-isip na siyang naghihiwalay sa mga tao at hayop ay ganun na lamang nakapagtataka kung papaanong nagawa niyang saktan ang nilalang na walang kalaban laban kumpara sa kung anong lakas na mayroon siya.

Sugatan si muning. Impit ang kanyang pag-iyak. Sa bawat mumunting paghiyaw niya ay mababanaad ang sakit na hindi man maipaliwanag ng luha ay tatagos sa kung sino mang may puso para sa kanila. Hindi man makabanggit ng mga salitang mauunawaan ng tao ay kakikitaan mo siya ng pagdurusa. Kawawang pusa. Biktima ng malupit na mundo ng mga taong kumokontrol sa parehong daigdig na kinabibilangan niya. Kawawa si muning… Tsk! Tsk!

Lucky Me

I was lucky (look for my definition of lucky in my previous entry - "meet an unlucky person") one to be given a slot for the "Bayantel’s Last Hurrah for Summer". Their treat this time was an overwhelming pasta, pizza and chicken courtesy of Pizza Hut and KFC. Of course, the food was great, my favorites (forget the diet! crap! lol!). After the games and activities for the kids, the movie started to roll at three o’clock in the afternoon. With me was a kewl company of Mam Yella with her whole family, Mam Mates with her sister and mom, and Kuya Rodel! (I condole with what happened to Bruce man!)

Long Wait is Over for a Big Superman Fan

In case you don’t know, I am a big Superman fan. In fact, I own five Superman shirts, a Superman pillow and other Superman stuffs. If you can read this and you are kind enough, I will really appreciate if you will give me a Superman Returns logo/poster or a lifesize Superman statue. Hehe! My penchant for Superman was born even before the 2006 movie was conceptualize. So perhaps, you will understant me having a teary eyes the moment the "Man of Steel" touched the ground again. A mixed emotions of happiness and excitement enveloped me as I saw the baseball crowd rejoice when they witnessed the return of the earth’s famous superhero.

The movie didn’t disappoint me. My world stopped for more than two hours as I stucked my eyes in the big screen. When I noticed it, two hours and a half have already passed, and I was still expecting for more action-packed scenes even after the climax.

From a distant planet Krypton, a boy was born but was raise in Earth by a good family of farmers to become our great superhero. Faster than speeding bullet, Superman draws his power from the sun. With kryptonite as his waterloo, he once again proved that the Earth needs a savior.

Superman in Manila

I don’t know if I heard it right, but it seems Manila has been a venue for Superman in the movie. To those who have not seen the movie yet, watch out for the scene where an international press reports about the whereabouts of Superman, saying "Superman was in Manila".

Well indeed, Superman was in Manila. He has captured Manila by storm. The movie is in fact breaking local (and even international) box office records with a whopping 22M gross in its first day of screening in the Philippines alone.
